What Will They Sell When It's All Gone? Us, Down The Wantsum?

I'm not normally one to get too involved in politics but sometimes, something has to be said!
In reply to my grumble about The Motor Museum, I recieved....

You are all so harsh.Westcliff Hall is indeed "suplus to the Council's requirements" and is in a pretty bad state of repair. The Council would likely jump at any reasonable offer. THe Victoria Pavillion and Albion House are also up for disposal after the May elections. Hopefully one at least can be retained as a community facility.

One?
Why can't we keep them all?
Who's requirements are they surplus too?
Why does the council think that it's an independent body to the community which ELECTED them to represent, govern, service and maintain it?

I'd bet my right tit (of which I'm quite proud, y'know) that the majority of people who elected OUR council don't think they're surplus to requirements at all! I'd also wager that they're pretty disappointed that OUR councils' management of funds is so poor that nothing can be done with these venues except sell them off to developers!

Honestly, voting for Thanet Council (whichever party) is like inviting a smack-head into your home. You wake up in the morning to find your telly, video and stereo have been sold off to fund an agenda which is entirely useless to yourself!!!

Still, who knows, maybe our new Ramsgate Parish Council may go some way towards saving Albion House, at least?
Watch this potential residential space, eh?

You think there may be a heroin culture amidst our ruling body, then?
I've come across a few of those fellas and they'll often give it up for a pound or two.
Here's hoping that Steve Ward is one of their number as he's quite a dish and I've always thought that a pearl necklace would compliment all that bling, handsomely!

Crumbling halls, crumbling cliffs, how did they get in that state in the first place? Because the council failed to maintain them, that's how.

Our civic amenities have been flushed down the khazi over the last 30 years due to lack of foresight, imagination and determination on the part of our elected and unelected representatives, who have been content to take the easy way out by either selling off, leasing out, or just downright neglecting. I'd except one or two from that, including Cllr Green, who does his best under difficult circs.

How many council officers live in Thanet, eh? For example, where does the Council's 'Strategic Director', Paul Moore, live? He's in charge of getting Thanet out this this mess, isn't he?

Well I can tell you where he lives, fucking Bromley.

It's pretty much the same over here in the valley, the council has sold off most of the garages and a few of the small car parks and they are building on them as we speak.
Do you think they are for council tenants?not a chance.
Council owned land is the peoples land and should be used for the people who live here now,not for the benefit of outsiders.
Selling council land should be overseen by a seperate with no financial ties with any builders or associated firms.

The tunnel was in planning while The Sally Line was still operating out of Ramsgate. Unfortunately, they took so long to build it that they 'missed the boat', so to speak!

It was those bloody Cliffsenders that put the mockers on the first route. Somthing to do with an uncommon litchen or some such thing.

They could have got over that quite easily by building a bridge.
